Xi Jinping Exchanges Congratulatory Messages with President Ouattara of Cote d'Ivoire on the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Cote d'Ivoire

 On March 2, 2023, President Xi Jinping and President Ouattara of Côte d'Ivoire exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.


Xi Jinping pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 40 years ago, China and Kuwait have always been sincere and friendly, supported each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns, and become important friends and partners on the road to development and revitalization. At the end of last year, I had a telephone conversation with President Ouattara and reached a new consensus on deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields. I attach great importance to the development of China-Kuwait relations, and I am willing to work with President Ouattara to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to consolidate mutual support, strengthen all-round cooperation, and promote China-Kuwait relations to a new level, so as to better benefit the two countries people.


Ouattara said that over the past 40 years, the relationship between the two countries has developed at a high level, and he thanked China for its constant support for Côte d'Ivoire's infrastructure, energy and other fields. The Kuwait side is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side to push the friendly cooperative relations between the two countries into a new era of solidarity and mutual assistance, close exchanges and fruitful results, and achieve new and greater development.
